Standard conditions for services covered by the Universal Service Obligation Applicable from January 1st 2010
Services covered by the Universal Service Obligation:
Services under Posten's licence obligations cf. Section 3.
Conveyance of the following addressed postal items:
a) priority letter post up to 2 kg, including registered letters
b) non-priority letter
post up to 2 kg
c) parcels up to 20 kg
d) insured items and cash on delivery (COD) items up to 20 kg
Except for insured items to abroad all the above postal services are part of Posten's international mailing options. COD
items
for abroad are accepted for transmission if Posten's permanent co-operation partner in the country of destination offers such
service. Posten is under an obligation to deliver the service of subscription newspapers and magazines up to 2 kg. In special
cases Posten may also offer corresponding services which are not regarded as part of its licence obligations.
